Open-Ended Evolution

Creating computational evolutionary processes that--like natural evolution--endlessly produce a diversity of complex, interesting things. Unlike natural evolution, evolutionary algorithms always run out of steam, meaning that they quickly converge to a local optimum. We investigate how to create truly open-ended evolutionary processes that are endlessly creative.
